Super Eagles’ new head coach, Eric Chelle, has unveiled his first-ever provisional squad, calling up 35 players ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe this month.

Among the notable inclusions is Akor Adams, the in-form striker from Sevilla. The Idoma-born forward has been rewarded for his impressive performances in La Liga, and fans will be eager to see him don the green and white jersey once again.

Adams’ inclusion adds firepower to the attack, alongside star striker Victor Osimhen and other top forwards.

Captain Ahmed Musa returns to the squad alongside assistant captain William Troost-Ekong and midfielder Joe Aribo. Chelle has also introduced six new faces, blending experience with fresh talent. Home-based players Papa Mustapha, Kayode Bankole, and Ifeanyi Emmanuel Onyebuchi have received call-ups.

The Super Eagles will play Rwanda in Kigali on March 21 before hosting Zimbabwe on March 25.
