Six Law School students missing after suspected kidnapping along Benue–Taraba route
Suspected armed kidnappers have reportedly seized six Nigerian Law School students travelling to the institution’s Yola campus in Adamawa State.
The abduction is said to have occurred late Saturday, July 26, 2025, along the notorious Wukari–Benue corridor, a route frequently linked to violent attacks and banditry.
A student of the Yola campus, who gave his name as Johnson, disclosed that the assailants have reached out to the families of the victims, demanding ₦20 million as ransom for their release.
The students were reportedly en route to campus after concluding their compulsory court externship, preparing to resume academic work on Monday, July 28.
Those identified among the missing include Rev. Ernest Okafor, Ogbuka Fabian, Nwamma Philip, Okechukwu Obadiegwu, Obalem Emmanuel, and Obiorah David.
Reports indicate that they were travelling aboard a commercial vehicle operated by AJ Dan Pullo Transport Company, which is based in Onitsha, Anambra State.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official comment from relevant authorities regarding the incident.
