BREAKING: Terrorists kidnap students, staff from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Niger
Barely a week after terrorists abducted at least 25 students from a government school in Kebbi State, another attack has struck. Students and staff of St. Mary’s School, a Catholic institution in Papiri community, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, have reportedly been kidnapped. The exact number of those taken remains unknown.
A source who spoke to Daily Trust on Friday said the school is still compiling its records. “Yes, it is true, but I am not in a position to give details. The church will issue an official statement later in the day,” the source added.
Efforts to reach the Niger State Police Command were unsuccessful. The command’s spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, did not answer calls when contacted.
