AFCON 2025: Super Eagles squad numbers confirmed new faces included
The squad numbers for the Super Eagles ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations have been confirmed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Star forward Victor Osimhen will retain his iconic number 9 shirt, while newly appointed captain Wilfred Ndidi will continue wearing his familiar number 4.
Lazio’s Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has been handed the prestigious number 10, and regulars Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, and Frank Onyeka will keep their numbers 7, 11, and 8 shirts, respectively.
New call-ups Salim Fago, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Ryan Alebiosu, and Tochukwu Nnadi will wear numbers 25, 26, 27, and 28.
The Super Eagles are aiming for a fourth AFCON title in Morocco. Eric Chelle’s men will kick off their campaign against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars in Fès next Tuesday.
