A tense scene unfolded at a fitness centre after an angry father reportedly showed up with police officers to apprehend a man he accused of impregnating his daughter.

In a viral video circulating online, the man was seen being escorted out of the gym during a workout session as stunned onlookers watched the drama.

The clip had gathered more than 500 likes at the time of filing this report.

Eyewitness footage shows the visibly upset father guiding the officers directly to the suspect in the middle of a busy workout period. While details surrounding the incident remain unclear including the daughter’s age and whether the relationship was consensual the man reportedly maintained that there was no rape involved.

Legal observers have pointed out that under Nigerian law, pregnancy between consenting adults does not constitute a criminal offence, suggesting the incident may be more of a domestic dispute than a legal matter.

The episode has since sparked heated reactions on social media, with users divided over the police involvement.

One user, AddyAdam8, wrote: “If both are adults and it was consensual, pregnancy isn’t a crime. No basis for arrest.”

Another commenter, ChkwkSnny, added humorously: “Baba dey keep him daughter for one rich man, this ekuke go give her belle 😂😂😂.”

@xx04xx11 also questioned the officers’ conduct: “Illegal police are easy to spot. Why cover their faces? Show face na.”

Meanwhile, ChinweokeH criticised those present at the scene, stating: “Shame on all the gym bros for letting officers arrest this guy.”
