Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, has responded to the outcome of the All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives primary involving celebrity businessman and nightlife promoter, Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, in Imo State.

Cubana Chief Priest had sought the APC ticket to represent the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections but was defeated by the sitting lawmaker, Canice Nwachukwu, after securing 14 votes in the primary election.

Reacting to the result, Seyi Tinubu shared a message of support on his Instagram page on Sunday, encouraging the socialite to remain optimistic. The post was later reposted by Cubana Chief Priest.

“Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving,” Tinubu wrote.

Speaking in a video circulated online after the exercise, Cubana Chief Priest said he had no regrets about contesting, despite the defeat.

“I’m a hustler, and I don’t regret putting myself forward for the position. The only thing I regret is trusting some elders in the community.

“I know the level of support I gave them, yet only 14 delegates voted for me,” he stated.
