The House of Representatives was thrown into a rowdy session on Thursday after Hon. Philip Agbese, representing Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency of Benue State, denied endorsing Hon. Ikeagwuonu Ugochinyere for the position of Minority Leader.

Agbese raised a point of privilege during plenary, alleging that his signature was forged on a document purportedly nominating Ugochinyere for the minority leadership position.

The lawmaker insisted that he neither signed nor authorized the document and called for an investigation into the alleged forgery.

His intervention sparked heated exchanges among members, disrupting proceedings and creating tension on the floor of the House.
