2027: ‘We’re waiting for all of you, no Alia, no Benue’ – Terver Gbenda brags after Otukpo outing

The Senior Special Assistant to Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia on Youth Organisations, Terver Gbenda, has renewed his political mobilisation for the governor ahead of the 2027 elections, declaring, “No Alia, No Benue.”

Gbenda made the declaration in a Facebook post shared on Thursday, in which he said the time had come for his supporters to begin what he described as “the game.”

“The hour has come for us to start the game. We are locally on the ground, waiting for all of you. No Alia, No Benue, take it or leave it.”

The latest statement comes a day after Gbenda’s controversial outing in Otukpo, Benue South Senatorial District, where his remarks during a gathering triggered criticism from groups representing youths in the zone.

The Office of the National Youth Leader of the Idoma Area Traditional Council had demanded an apology and clarification from Gbenda over statements attributed to him during the outing.

Similarly, the OchetohaK’Idoma Youth Wing Worldwide accused the governor’s aide of making provocative remarks in Otukpo and demanded an apology, while warning that the development could have political consequences.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Gbenda had earlier told supporters in Otukpo that anyone coming into the area to campaign against Governor Alia should not be allowed to do so.
