2027: “No other party will win in Benue South” — Alia’s aide, Gbenda Terver boasts

The Senior Special Assistant to Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia on Youth Organisations, Gbenda Terver, has declared that no political party will defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue South Senatorial District, also known as Zone C, in the 2027 general elections.

Terver made the declaration while addressing supporters, where he expressed confidence that the APC would win across the senatorial district.

According to him, the party would take the senatorial seat, all House of Representatives constituencies and state House of Assembly seats in the zone.

“APC is going to wipe the whole of Zone C this time around. No party will win Zone C, I give you my word. APC is going to take over the senatorial zone,” Terver said.

He also predicted victories for several APC candidates across Benue South.

“Francis Ottah is going to win Zone C. Blessing Onuh is going to win Otukpo-Ohimini, and all our House of Representatives members.

“Ojotu Ojema is going to win Apa-Agatu, Anthony Agom is going to win Ado-Okpokwu-Ogbadibo,” he said.

Terver further declared that the APC would win across the wards, council areas and local government areas in Zone C.

“We are going to clear all our House of Representatives seats in Zone C, and the whole House of Assembly members in Zone C, we are going to clear all of them.

“APC is going to win your polling unit. APC is going to win your council ward and your local government,” he said.

He attributed his confidence to what he described as the performance of the APC-led administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia.

“APC is doing very well, and Father Alia is doing very well, Tinubu is doing very well,” Terver said.

The governor’s aide also called on youths in Benue South to support and defend Alia, arguing that many people from the zone had benefited from appointments and opportunities under the Tinubu administration.

“Much has been given to you, you need to give much to the government,” he said.

Terver’s latest declaration comes amid a growing political exchange over the APC’s prospects in Benue South ahead of the 2027 elections.
