Olikita Ekani, a media aide to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has stated that the Otukpo-Oweto-Loko road is no longer safe.

He said members the Boko Haram terrorists have infiltrated Nasarawa State and motorists that ply that road should be careful.

His call came 24 hours after the Nasarawa State Governor, Sule Abdulahi confirmed the presence of the Boko Haram terrorists at the borders of Benue and Nasarawa, IDOMA VOICE reports.

Olikita was reacting to the murder of Colonel Felix Kura, a Benue son who was ambushed and killed with other 6 soldiers during a rescue operation in a forest along Mararaba-Udege road in Nasarawa.

He said the development is a true confirmation that the terrorists are in Nasarawa, which shares border with Benue.

He wrote on Facebook, A sign that Boko Haram terrorists have infiltrated Nasarawa

“Otukpo-Oweto-Loko road no longer safe.

“This is late Colonel Felix Kura, a Benue son who was ambushed and killed with other 6 soldiers during a rescue operation in a forest along Mararaba-Udege road in Nasarawa.

“It is unfortunate that we continue to lose our gallant soldiers due to incompetent leadership of those in helm of affairs in Aso Rock.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
