Insecurity: Nigerians are angry – Bishop Kukah warns Buhari 

The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah, says Nigerians are angry with the current rate of insecurity in the country.

Kukah who stated this on Sunday, March 7, during a virtual interview with academic and historian, Toyin Falola, said it is not too much for Nigerians to ask the federal government to secure lives and properties.

He added that government at all levels must also provide the enabling environment for Nigerians to thrive.

He said to have a good, peaceful society, the government has to create an environment where everybody thrives according to their abilities.

The cleric noted that Nigerians are “terribly angry” over the insecurity in the land, economic hardship, amongst others.

He said his main worry is that the Nigerian government has not created a conducive environment where people can live peacefully and thrive.

Kukah noted that some will accuse him of inciting Nigerians for simply raising important questions about governance.

Kukah also said nobody will gain anything if Nigeria breaks up.
