Biafra: How IPOB killed Idoma-born policeman, Eche in Imo
An Idoma-born policeman, Albert Eche Godfrey, has been killed by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) militias in Imo State.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that Eche was killed during the joint security forces raid of the operational headquarters of the IPOB/ESN terrorists in Awomama village, Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State, on Saturday.
The combined security killed a top IPOB/ESN commander, Ikonso and six of his men during the raid, and it was reported that some of the security agents sustained gun injuries from the futile operation operation operation.
It is likely that Eche was among the officers that sustained gun injuries and eventually died from the injury he sustained from the operation as it is not clear whether the Nigerian security team recorded any casualty on the spot.
Eche hailed from Agboko clan of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
Taking to the social media (Facebook) to announce his death, Jonathan Okopi, a popular Idoma online cultural influencer wrote;
“To the right is your last picture taking before engaging in that futile operation with IPOB at Orlu in Imo state yesterday.
Now brother you are gone just like that.
RIP Albert Eche Godfrey
Your big bro here mourning you
The whole Agboko family in mourning state.”
Meanwhile, the police force is yet to confirm his death as at the time of filling this report.
