Actress Nkechi Blessing suspended from Nollywood 

Popular Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has been suspended from the Nigerian motion picture industry otherwise known as Nollywood.

The national body of Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, suspended the actress alongside her male counterpart Kehinde Adams, popularly known as Lege Miami over unruly acts and exchange of detrimental verbal utterances.

IDOMA VOICE recalls that both actors have been in a war of words on social media over the recent arrest of their colleague, Baba Ijesha, who has been accused of rape and sexual defilements of a minor.

A statement issued by the TAMPAN chairman Damilola Olatunji, said the decision is following the directive of TAMPAN’s parent body as the show of shame currently going on between Nkechi Blessing and Lege Maimi can no longer be accepted; hence punitive order became imperative to redeem the image of the association.

The statement adds that no movie director from the TAMPAN association should engage the services of the Nollywood stars as anyone who engages in others will be subject to punitive measure.

Reacting, Nkechi who is currently holidaying in America, boasted that Hollywood seems to be her rightful place and not Nollywood.

“Everything about this image is screaming HOLLYWOOD … take your rightful place QUEEN,” she wrote on Instagram.
