Nigerian comedian and actor, Julius Agwu, has revealed that he lost sexual function after undergoing brain surgery in the United States in 2015.

Agwu disclosed this during a recent episode of the Beer Parlour Talk Show, while discussing the impact of the surgery on his health and personal life.

When asked whether the brain condition or surgery affected other parts of his body, including his sexual function, Agwu said, “After I do am, prick no dey work again now. He no dey work.”

Agwu underwent the surgery in 2015 after doctors discovered three tumours in his brain, one of which was reportedly the size of a golf ball.

During the programme, other guests discussed the connection between the brain and the nerves involved, in relation to the effect Agwu described.

The comedian also reflected on his career and his contribution to Nigerian comedy, particularly his role in developing music comedy.

“Music comedy na me form am o, that is to tell you how my brain dey work,” he said.

Agwu later became emotional while recounting his health struggles and alleging that some of his friends abandoned him during the difficult period.

“God wey I dey serve, anybody wey get hand for wetin happen to me. I go dey look. My friends deserted me. They stopped talking to me, many of them. It is well,” he said.
