The compilation, released on the TotalEnergies AFCON 2025 X page and sighted by PUNCH Online on Thursday, featured Adams’ standout goal from Nigeria’s quarter-final meeting with Algeria. His composed finish and technical mastery helped the Eagles seal a 2–0 win and advance in the competition.

Adams’ strike was pivotal in Nigeria eventually claiming third place at the tournament. CAF’s carefully selected top-five goals spotlight not only extraordinary finishes but also game-changing moments, and the inclusion of the Nigerian striker further reflects his rapid rise within African football.

During a tense round-of-16 encounter with DR Congo, Boulbina became Algeria’s match-winner with a sensational extra-time strike that secured a 1–0 victory. His effort blended precision, timing, and immense pressure to keep Algeria’s campaign alive.

4. Pape Gueye (Senegal)
In a chaotic and highly debated final, Senegal midfielder Pape Gueye scored the match-defining goal against hosts Morocco. Just four minutes into extra time, he unleashed a fierce left-footed shot into the top corner, sealing a 1–0 win and handing Senegal their second AFCON trophy.
