AFCON 2025: List of countries that have qualified for semi-final
Three teams have secured their places in the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following the conclusion of Saturday’s quarter-final matches.
Nigeria became the first side to advance after recording a 2–0 victory over Algeria in Marrakech. After a goalless first half, the Super Eagles turned their dominance into goals shortly after the restart. Victor Osimhen opened the scoring with a powerful header before providing the assist for Akor Adams to seal the win.
Eric Chelle’s side will now face tournament hosts Morocco in the semi-finals. The Atlas Lions booked their spot in the last four with a 2–0 win over Cameroon.
Senegal also progressed after edging Mali 1–0 in another quarter-final encounter, completing the list of teams confirmed so far for the semi-finals of the competition.
