The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to play all their group stage matches at the 45,000-capacity Complexe Sportif de Fès in Fès, Morocco, during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Fès, located in northeastern Morocco, will host Nigeria’s campaign opener against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania on Tuesday, December 23.

This marks only the second AFCON encounter between the two nations, with Nigeria winning their first clash 3-1 in the 1980 edition.

Four days later, the Super Eagles will face the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in a highly anticipated rematch. Tunisia previously knocked Nigeria out of the tournament in the Round of 16 at AFCON 2021.

Nigeria’s final group-stage match will be against the Cranes of Uganda on Tuesday, December 30.

The teams last met in the AFCON semi-finals in 1978, where Uganda triumphed.

The tournament format allows the top two teams from each of the six groups, along with the four best third-placed teams, to progress to the knockout stage.
