Afenifere Youth President, Eniola Ojajuni abducted in Abuja

The National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Eniola Ojajuni, has been abducted by unknown gunmen in Abuja.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the council’s National Secretary, Abiodun Aderohunmu, confirmed that the incident took place on Monday, February 17. He revealed that the kidnappers are demanding a ₦100 million ransom for Ojajuni’s release.

“The Afenifere National Youth Council is deeply saddened to announce the kidnapping of its National President, Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, in Abuja. The unfortunate incident occurred yesterday, and the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of ₦100 million,” the statement read.

Aderohunmu further disclosed that Ojajuni sustained a gunshot wound on his buttock during the abduction. He expressed grave concern for his safety and pleaded with the abductors to release him unharmed. He also described Ojajuni as a key advocate for youth empowerment and development in Nigeria.

The council called on the federal government and security agencies to take immediate action to secure Ojajuni’s release. It also urged Nigerians with any relevant information to come forward and assist in rescue efforts.

As of now, the FCT police command has not issued an official statement on the incident.
