Aida Nath’s camp reacts after victory over Ottah in court

The Aida Nath Campaign Organization (ANCO) has reacted to the victory of Aida Nath Ogwuche on her victory in court over the suit instituted by Hon. Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo, the runner up at the People’s Democratic Party Primary election for Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency.

The Federal High Court, sitting in Makurdi in a judgement delivered on Monday, the 21st day of November, 2022 held among others that, Hon. Barr. Aida Nath Ogwuche duly resigned her appointment as the election contemplated by the Electoral Act is the general election and not the party primaries as canvassed by counsel for the Plaintiff.

The court in its wisdom upheld her nomination and dismissed the suit of the Plaintiff with cost awarded in favour of the 1st Defendant.

Reacting, the campaign organization led by Chief James Oche, the Executive Chairman of Ado LGA, described the verdict as vicotry of Enone people.

He said, “The ANCO is delighted by this development and wishes to state that, it is victory not just for its principal but for the whole of Enone. ANCO reaffirms the commitment of its principal to advance credible representation and good governance for the constituency.

“ANCO wishes to state that, there is no victor not vanquish hence it was fair and just for Hon. Dr. Francis Agbo to have tested the waters of justice over what he considered to be unfair. ANCO appreciates him a great deal and wish appeal to him to contain the outcome of the judgement in good faith and to support its principal to emerge victorious at the general election.

“ANCO enjoins the People’s Democratic Party to work closely with its members and our the house in order so as to be better positioned for victory in the fast approaching general elections.

“ANCO salutes the good people of Enone who through thick and thin have remained supportive of its principal and enjoins them to remain supportive of her to the finish line.

“ANCO appreciates the tireless commitment of the leaders of the party, stakeholders, teeming supporters and all those who in one way or the other have been of aid to the Aida project.

“ANCO believes that, with AIDA Enone will be greater.”
