Amotekun arrest school children for calling themselves ‘Marlians’
The South West Security outfit, Amotekun, has reportedly arrested scores of school children for allegedly for being “Marlians”; modeling themselves after Nigerian Artist, Naira Marley.
Marlians, the nomenclature of the fan base of Nigerian musician, Naira Marley, is passive as an identity of rascals as the artist himself is consider a ‘bad influence’.
Naira Marley has also been arrested by the Nigerian authorities on two occasions, for alleged cyber crime and flaunting COVID-19 lockdown rules.
But, arresting minors just because of an opinion people hold about a group of people, is what has triggered a lot of mixed reactions online.
In a video spotted by IDOMA VOICE correspondent, some school children were seen being harassed by Amotekun officers.
A lady was heard in the video, saying the student are bad influence on others and were all taken from the bush.
