Anambra married woman breaks silence on leaked private video
Mrs. Chinaza Odeka, the Anambra woman whose private video with a married man recently surfaced online, has broken her silence.
Chinaza and her companion, identified as Ichie Obiora, a titled community leader sparked widespread discussion across Anambra State after the footage was leaked by her daughter, who allegedly found it on her phone.
In an interview with a content creator at her shop, Chinaza admitted she was the woman in the viral clip but said it was never intended for public viewing. She described the recording as a personal moment between her and Obiora, captured privately and in the heat of the moment.
“It was never meant for the public. Its release has brought me and my family a lot of pain and embarrassment,” she said.
Responding to questions about her marital status, Chinaza said she had long endured a troubled marriage. She described her husband as neglectful and abusive, saying she remained in the union solely for the sake of her children.
“Since I got married, I’ve never had peace. I’ve only stayed for the children,” she noted.
She further claimed that her husband frequently accused her of infidelity without evidence and physically assaulted her, sometimes at her foodstuff shop.
Addressing the backlash, Chinaza expressed disappointment at the criticism she has faced, accusing some of her detractors of hypocrisy.
“Many of those criticising me are guilty of worse things. Mine just happened to be exposed,” she said.
Chinaza also alleged that her daughter, upset over her strained relationship with their father, was responsible for retrieving the deleted video and sharing it with others, leading to its leak online.
