APC panicking despite 34 governors, ADC calm – Bolaji Abdullahi
The National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of unnecessarily targeting his party despite its overwhelming political strength.
Speaking during an appearance on Politics Today on Channels Television, Abdullahi maintained that while the ADC remains steady and focused, the APC appears unsettled ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to him, the ruling party, which controls about 34 state governments and holds a strong majority in the National Assembly, still behaves as though it is under pressure.
“We in the ADC are calm because we know what we are doing, but they, the APC, are the ones; after having about 34 governors in their camp and almost all the National Assembly, they are still panicking.
They are still sponsoring court cases against the ADC,” he said.
Abdullahi further alleged that the APC consistently brings the ADC into political discussions while attempting to weaken the opposition party.
“They can’t have a conversation without talking about the ADC, they say ADC is comatose, it is this or that, instigating our members against us.
“Those who can barely afford to feed are now hiring senior advocate of Nigeria and we say that it just doesn’t add up,” he added.
He also brushed aside doubts about the party’s strength, stressing that there is no legal or political risk for aspirants who choose to contest elections under the ADC platform.
“It’s not legally and politically dangerous for anyone to run on the platform of the ADC,” he stated.
