Asake finally leaves Olamide’s YBNL, launches own label, Giran Republic

Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has officially announced his departure from YBNL Nation.

Confirming the news, Asake released his latest single, ‘Why Love’, under his new record label, Giran Republic, putting an end to speculations about his exit from Olamide’s YBNL.

Despite rumors of a controversial split, Asake paid tribute to Olamide in his first release of the year, ‘Military’, dismissing claims of any rift between them.

Asake joined YBNL Nation in February 2022 and signed a distribution deal with Empire in July of the same year.

Although he has exited YBNL, Asake continues to maintain his distribution agreement with Empire.
