Newcastle United, a Premier League club, is currently contemplating a potential transfer move for Victor Boniface, the forward from Bayer Leverkusen.

Boniface made a €12 million transfer to the Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen, this summer, having previously played for the Belgian Pro League club, Union St Gilloise.

This robust striker has garnered attention by scoring nine goals and providing three assists in just 10 games for Bayer Leverkusen.

As reported by The Sun, Newcastle United’s scouts closely observed him during Nigeria’s recent friendly against Saudi Arabia in Portugal. While the 22-year-old didn’t find the net, he proved to be a formidable presence, causing issues for the Saudi defense, ultimately leading to an own goal.

Newcastle United’s manager, Eddie Howe, is eager to bolster his frontline with more physicality and regards Boniface as a prime target who could complement the skills of players like Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.
