Frenkie De Jong among five stars Barcelona willing to sell this summer

Barcelona are reportedly preparing a major summer release, with Frenkie de Jong among five key players the club is willing to offload.
The Dutch midfielder, long regarded as a key figure in Barcelona’s midfield, has struggled with recurring injuries in recent seasons, disrupting his consistency.

According to MARCA, De Jong is at the top of the club’s list of possible departures.
Also named are Robert Lewandowski, Marcus Rashford, Andreas Christensen, and Marc Casadó.
De Jong, who is contracted until June 2029, has raised concerns at the club due to his ongoing fitness issues.

This season alone, he has missed 11 matches through injury, including a hamstring problem that kept him out for around 45 days. With Marc Bernal returning to fitness and De Jong among Barcelona’s highest earners, his long-term future at the club is now uncertain.

Elsewhere, Lewandowski, whose contract runs until June 2026, is also being linked with a possible exit.
Marcus Rashford’s loan spell is expected to end this summer, and following a quiet spell in key matches particularly in the Champions League quarterfinals, a return to Manchester United looks likely.

La Masia graduate Marc Casadó has struggled for consistent game time under manager Hansi Flick, while Andreas Christensen has been out of action since December due to an ACL injury.
