Benue Deputy speaker advises supporters of APC, SDP, APGA, UP others to defect PDP to avoid suffering deplorable defeat

The Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Egli Johnson Ahubi has called on supporters of opposition parties in Benue South Senatorial district to Join the Zone C Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign train in order to avoid suffering deplorable and dishonourable defeat in the forthcoming general elections.

Hon. Egli who is also the PDP candidate for Otukpo/Ohimini Federal constituency made the call while on a Ward2Ward tour with former Minister of Interior and PDP senatorial candidate for Benue South, Comrade Abba Patrick Moro and Hon. Ochi Igbabe who is the party’s Otukpo/Akpa State House of Assembly candidate at different head quarters of the wards from Allan, Otobi, Otukpo township ward III, II, I, Ewulo and Okete respectively.

According to him: “PDP is the only political party that has the interest of the people at heart. Judging by the anticident of all the candidates of all the candidates of political parties making deteriorating comments about PDP, you will see are persons who have benefitted so much from our party.

“These persons are just a group of self centered individuals who want to be at the helm of affairs year in, year out. Everything they boast of today, they acquired through PDP. Just because it’s not them for the first time in more than a decade, they feel they can tear everything apart.

“God in heaven is watching with the Gods (Alekwu) of our lands. They will judge us for everything.

“Almost every candidates vying for one position or the other has in the past occupied one or two Public positions under PDP. I want everyone present here to ask them what they did while in office before and now seeking new positions when they come around for campaigns.

“My accomplishment so far you all know. My records are there and visible, from electrifying Adim and Akpachi communities, I also provided transformers for Idabi Otukpo-Icho, Otukpo township ward III, Adoka communities and several other places, I also have a very active scholarship program for my constituents, I built a security house and donated a vehicle to the local vigilante groups, I also built a clinic that is near completion in Upu that will be completed soon by God’s grace, I have been the brain and strength behind so many coverts that were reconstructed with good and better materials in different locations in Otukpo in order to link different areas together without my constituents undergoing too much stress, I am also responsible for different roads which are more comfortable to use now unlike before from Otukpo-nobi to Otada to Upu to Edikwu village in Otukpo and some parts of Ohimini now, etc.

“These things are visible and very loud to access. We all are aware of what Comr. Abba Patrick Moro did as a Minister. Today we call him the only Ogigomebe K’Idoma and Mr. Empowerment because countless numbers of Idoma youths have very good jobs in different parastatals today because of his personality. Although we have had ministers from Idoma land in the past and reverse was the case.

“Compare and contrast between all these candidates and you will find out that our party the PDP is masses oriented and that’s why you see people in top positions in other parties still defecting and returning back to PDP.

“Our candidature signifies hope for the common man, that is why you have people saying why should it be Egli?
or Why should it be Ochi Igbabe?

“The era of “you must be rich” before winning election is over, though it’s God that provides resources, he has never disappointed us and will never disappoint us because our intentions are good.

“If you are in any party other than PDP, there’s still time for you to make the right decision and join the winning team from Atiku/Obi our President and Vice to Ortom and Abounu, our Governor and Deputy to Comrade Abba Moro, our Zone C Senator to me Egli Johnson Ahubi, our Otukpo/Ohimini Federal House of Representatives member and finally, Ochi Igbabe our State House of Assembly member for Otukpo/Akpa constituency.

“The door is still open and we are ready capable of accommodating you all” he added.
