Benue: If you are truly Idoma, don’t vote Alia in 2027 – Abba Moro
Senate Minority Leader and Benue South Senatorial District representative, Senator Abba Patrick Moro, has reaffirmed his commitment to campaigning against the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia, accusing the governor of neglecting and marginalising Benue South, also known as Zone C.
Speaking at a massive political gathering at the Upu Open Field in Ewulo, Otukpo Local Government Area, Moro called on the people of the district to remain united and resolute ahead of the 2027 general elections. The event also saw a significant wave of defections, with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Labour Party (LP), and other parties joining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Addressing the crowd, Moro alleged that the current administration had failed the people of Benue South. “This governor hates Zone C, and I will continue to campaign against him till we vote him out,” he said.
The senator urged his constituents not to repeat what he described as the mistake of the previous election. “If you are truly Idoma people, please do not vote for Alia in 2027. People voted for him in the last election because they thought he was a man of God, but today he has failed us in Benue State,” Moro declared.
The gathering drew a massive crowd from all nine local government areas of Benue South, reflecting the growing support for the PDP in the zone as political realignments intensify ahead of the 2027 polls.
