Benue NBA eulogises Barr. Gusa

The Nigeria Bar Association, Benue State chapter under the leadership of Barr Job I Ishebegh Friday16th August, 2019 in Makurdi poured thunderous encomiums on the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr Michael Gusa for maintaining a purposeful partnership with the Bar in Benue State to attain its set objectives.
Speaking during the courtesy visit, the NBA president in the state said they came to congratulate Barr Gusa on his well deserved appointment as well as commend him on the strides Governor Ortom has made in supporting the Bar to record monumental success.
Ishebegh said Barr Gusa was a true father, pillar and mentor of the Bar whose contributions and support can never be downplayed.
The president of the group also used the opportunity to commend Governor Samuel Ortom for approving to them a land allocation which he said will be used for NBA secretariat in the state.
He also appreciated Governor Ortom for the support he gave them during their NBA week celebration and promised on behalf of the entire NBA to continue to support him achieve maximum security of lives and property in the state.
Responding, Barr Gusa thanked the group for creating out time to identify with him on his second coming as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
Gusa then dedicated the achievements ministry of Justice has achieved so far to Governor Ortom, who he described as the most friendly NBA governor he has known.
While calling on NBA to sustain its stance on ensuring peace and juatice in the state, Gusa said the state governor was not relenting on its primary goal to ensure Benue was cleansed of criminal elements.
He noted the efforts of Governor Ortom in the area of maintaining law and order to include the signing into law “Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law, 2019, ” Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishing Law 2017″ and “Abduction, Hostage-taking, Kidnapping, Secret Cult and similar activities (Prohibition) Law, 2017”.
He promised to continue to synergize with the NBA to ensuring that governor Ortom’s cardinal objectives, particularly in the area of ensuring peace is holistically achieved.
In her vote of thanks, the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the ministry Mrs Christiana Anagende thanked the leadership of NBA for the show of solidarity, and sued on behalf of the ministry for continued partnership of purpose at all times.
