1. Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the people of Gboko Local Government Area have endorsed Governor Samuel Ortom for election as Senator representing Benue North-West senatorial district.
Consequently, they have offered to lead the campaign for the election of Governor Ortom as a senator should he declare his interest to run for the election.
2. Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has joined other Nigerians in celebration of the 80th birthday of the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
In a statement, Governor Ortom praised Pastor Adeboye for remaining steadfast in the service of God and leading many to Christ.
3. LGEA Primary School, ODUMOKE, Ijigban District, Ado LGA, Benue State is in need of Government attention.
This school, Odumoke Primary School, which was established in 1976 after the Civil War to serve basic education need of the people, was abandoned without structures but through the efforts of Ezza Community within the locality, two blocks of four Classrooms with mud-block, including the headmaster’s office were constructed in June, 1990, many years after the establishment.
4. The fresh communal crisis between the people of Mbasmbo and Mbaivur in Gwer-East Local Government Area of Benue State has reportedly claimed two lives.
The crisis, which broke out two days ago over disputed farmland, has led to the burning down of houses and food barns in the two communities while several families have fled their homes for fear of being killed.
