Tragic Accident Claims Lives in Oju Township
Chaos ensued in Oju Township of Oju Local Government Area of Benue State as a father, son, and a Hausa trader lost their lives in a mysterious well accident while attempting to recover a fetching device.
Reports indicate that the tragedy unfolded when Mr. Matthew Iji, popularly known as Matthew Ekpengbe, a well-known car washer in the town, sent his teenage son to retrieve water from a nearby well.
Eyewitnesses recounted that the teenage boy, believed to be between 15-16 years old, accidentally dropped the fetcher into the well. In a desperate attempt to retrieve it, he tragically lost his life.
Benue State University (BSU) Unveils New Faculty and Programmes
The Benue State University (BSU) Makurdi has restructured its Department of Mass Communication, dividing it into six new programmes and establishing a new Faculty of Communication and Media Studies to enhance specialization and professionalism.
