A woman identified as Msendoo Iorlumun has reportedly delivered twin boys in a bush while on her way to a health facility in Benue State.

The incident occurred on Friday as she was trekking from Jotar to Abaki Health Clinic located in Mbangur.

An eyewitness, Baba Igba Igba, who narrated the घटना, said the expectant mother was en route to seek medical attention when she suddenly went into labour.

He explained that due to the distance still left to the clinic, she became too weak to continue the journey.

The woman eventually gave birth near St. Pius Catholic Church in Abaki Mbangur without the presence of medical personnel.

Despite the challenging situation, both the mother and her twin boys were reported to be in stable condition, sparking relief among residents.

The incident has once again drawn attention to the difficulties faced by people in rural communities, particularly the long distances they must cover to access healthcare services.

“We thank God for her safety and the safe delivery of the twins,” the eyewitness said, expressing relief over the outcome.

Members of the community have since congratulated the mother, describing the experience as both difficult and miraculous.
