Benuea: PDP will win from bottom to top in Benue – Ex-Vice chairmen

The Forum of immediate past Vice Chairmen of Benue State, rose from its emergency meeting, held on Sunday, 21st August, 2022 which members deliberated on key issues under the leadership of the elders in the forum and resolved as follows;

(1). That, following the resignation of the former Chairman of the Forum, Hon Austine Nemba from PDP, the Forum has relieved Hon Nemba with immediate effect of his position as Forum Chairman and therefore direct Hon John Anthony Ikwulono who was his Deputy and the immediate past Vice Chairman Agatu LGC, to takeover as the substantive Chairman, Forum of immediate past Vice Chairmen of Benue State.

The meeting directs the new Forum Chairman, Hon John Ikwulono to as soon as possible, convene a general meeting of all members where other vacant positions will be filled up.

(2). That, the immediate past Vice Chairmen of Local Government Councils in the State disassociate themselves from the resignation of Austin Nemba from PDP and thereby states categorically that, Hon. Austin’s action has no bearing on the collective decision of the group. Members therefore distance themselves from this embarrassing decision of Hon. Nemba and pledged their unalloyed supports to PDP and the leadership of the party.

(3). That, as immediate past Vice Chairmen, we will support, canvass and work tirelessly to ensure the victory of the party in the State from BOTTOM to TOP in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

(4). That, the Forum appreciate Governor Samuel Ortom and the leadership of PDP Benue State for finding some of our members worthy to serve as Chairmen of Vandeikya LGC, Hon Barr Alex Tyonongo; Otukpo LGC, Rt Hon Bako Ejeh, as well as four of our colleagues in Makurdi, Ado, Katsina Ala and Okpokwu LGCs, who all retained their positions as Vice Chairmen of their various Local Government Areas.

(5). That, the forum expresses strong believe that from all indications, the future is bright for us and the entire people of Benue State, hence the need to keep faith with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and work assiduously as grassroot mobilizers to ensure the emergence of PDP in the 2023 general elections from bottom to top.
