Controversial cross-dresser Idris Okunneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has claimed that he has been arrested by officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service.

Bobrisky made the revelation in an Instagram post on Tuesday, expressing confusion over the reason for his alleged arrest.

“Guys, I have just been arrested by immigration in Nigeria. I don’t know what I did o,” he wrote.

The alleged arrest comes months after Bobrisky announced that he had temporarily left Nigeria to focus on his mental health. In November 2024, he confirmed his departure, stating that he needed to prioritize his well-being after facing repeated frustrations from certain security agencies.

“Yes, I’m here to confirm I’m out of Nigeria temporarily… I need to attend to my sanity and my health. A few Nigerian security agencies tried everything to frustrate me, but I’ve got God. Imagine buying a business class ticket three times, and only one was successful. @kIm, I hope you guys refund me for the two I didn’t use. I know it’s not your fault, but it’s fine,” he had said at the time.

As of the time of this report, the Nigerian Immigration Service has yet to issue an official statement regarding his claims.
