Boys need equal love like girls – Caroline Danjuma
Actress, Caroline Danjuma has said that men endure a lot of heartbreak that they do not often share.
She said this on the Me, Her and Everything Else Podcast hosted by TV host, Stephanie Coker Aderinokun.
Danjuma pointed out that men get served ‘breakfast’ (heartbreak) a lot and it can end up traumatising them.
She said, “Men get ‘served’ a lot. Men get disrespected a lot and under-appreciated. Seriously speaking, there are lots of men, who out of ego don’t want to talk about it. As you said, they are so traumatised within them. After the divorce, either they are withdrawn or they just go into the market and say, you know what, ‘I’m going to deal with you, you, you…’
On boys, she said, “There are a lot of broken men and a lot of broken boys because they started looking at them as adults instead of the teenagers that they are. The expectation of them is too high, to be the head of the family. Instead of them being allowed to grow into the handsome, young brilliant boys that they are with all the love.
“You know, when they see a boy, they automatically feel like ‘I shouldn’t give the love I give to the daughter to the boy.’ Actually, boys need equal love like the daughters.”
