‘I would rather chew grass’ — Charles Okocha denies biting Portable
Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has dismissed claims by singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, that he bit him during their recent celebrity boxing rematch.
Okocha denied the allegation during an appearance on TVC Entertainment on Tuesday, insisting he never bit the singer during the contest.
The celebrity boxing rematch took place on Friday at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, where Okocha was declared the winner after Portable was disqualified for violating the rules before walking out of the ring.
Following the bout, Portable alleged that Okocha bit him on the back and locked his neck during the fight, claiming he regretted participating in the match.
Responding to the accusation, Okocha said he wore a mouth guard throughout the fight, making the allegation impossible.
“Portable has been going around telling people I bit him on the back. I was wearing a mouth guard; how is that even possible? He was just lying.
“I would rather chew grass than bite him. I don’t want to catch rabies. Have you seen how Portable’s skin looks? Hell no, I wouldn’t do that. He should just accept defeat,” he said.
