BREAKING: Aliyu Sanusi arrested in Sokoto over planned nationwide protests
The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested a Nigerian youth, Aliyu Sanusi, in connection with the planned nationwide protests against bad governance in Nigeria.
Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), announced Sanusi’s arrest in a post on his X platform on Tuesday.
According to Sowore, the DSS arrested Sanusi on Monday evening in Sokoto State for allegedly printing and distributing protest materials.
Sowore called for Sanusi’s immediate release in his statement.
“The lawless @OfficialDSSNG has arrested Aliyu Sanusi for printing and distributing #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria materials in Sokoto State. He was arrested yesterday evening in the Sama Road area of Sokoto. The DSS must release Aliyu Sanusi immediately.”
