Atiku polled the highest votes to beat Wike, governor of Rivers State, who scored 237 votes to win the keenly contested sole ticket of the opposition party, IDOMA VOICE reports.

Meanwhile, Wike had earlier vowed to support whoever that will emerge winner of the primaries.
With this, Atiku will square up against whoever will emerge as candidate from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
