BREAKING: Atiku to contest for president in 2027

Renowned socio-political commentator Deji Adeyanju has asserted that the former 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is contemplating a return to the presidential race in 2027.

Adeyanju’s comments were made in the context of his criticism towards Atiku Abubakar and his counterpart from the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, whom he described as self-serving and indifferent politicians.

Adeyanju expressed his viewpoint, suggesting that the actions of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi inadvertently facilitated an advantage for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in securing victory during the 2023 presidential election.

Adeyanju’s statement, however, places blame on the alleged self-interest and lack of empathy displayed by Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi as contributing factors to the current state of affairs in Nigeria.

Adeyanju elaborated on his perception of the situation, remarking, “Politicians are heartless and selfish, gosh! The selfishness of Atiku and Obi put Nigeria in this mess today. $1 is 960.” He further attributed the ease with which the APC claimed victory in the 2023 election to the actions of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, asserting that they should be held accountable for the outcome rather than their supporters.

“The people who voted for Tinubu are a constant problem we have to keep dealing with even beyond 2027.”
