BREAKING: Diri extends lead with over 65,000 votes after collation of all LGAs

Governor Duoye Diri, vying for re-election in Bayelsa State, maintains a lead of over 60,000 votes in the ongoing electoral process.

Diri, representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), widened the gap between himself and his nearest rival, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to 65,088 votes following the declaration of the Southern Ijaw results.

His total count stands at 175,196 votes, while Sylva trails with 110,108 votes.

At the collation center in Yenagoa, the state capital, officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are finalizing the process.
