Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has been declared winner of the Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo State.
Akeredolu polled 292,830 votes to defeat his close challengers, Eyitayo Jegede of PDP and Ajayi Agboola of ZLP to retain his seat for another four years.
“I hereby declare Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the APC winner of the election and hereby returned governor,” Prof. Abel Olayinka, the Returning Officer for the election announced on Sunday.
