BREAKING: Over 30 dead as herdsmen attack Yelewata community in Benue

Over 30 persons have been confirmed dead following a brutal attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Yelewata community in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. The tragic incident reportedly occurred in the late hours of Friday, leaving scores dead, several injured, and many others displaced.

Eyewitnesses said the attackers stormed the community with sophisticated weapons, opening fire indiscriminately on villagers who were still asleep.

By the time the dust settled, dozens of bodies were recovered, with survivors fleeing into nearby bushes for safety.
