Bundesliga: Boniface strikes double as Bayer Leverkusen thrash Darmstadt
In a Bundesliga showdown on Saturday, Victor Boniface showcased his goal-scoring prowess once again by netting his second consecutive brace, propelling Bayer Leverkusen to a commanding 5-1 victory over Darmstadt.
The Nigerian forward had previously scored a double in Leverkusen’s 3-0 triumph against Borussia Monchengladbach the previous weekend. On Saturday afternoon, he wasted no time, opening the scoring with a remarkable strike in the 21st minute.
Just over an hour into the game, the 22-year-old secured his second goal, maintaining his impressive form. Boniface has now accumulated an impressive four goals and one assist in just five league appearances for Xabi Alonso’s squad.
With the international break approaching, Bayer Leverkusen is gearing up for a challenging match against defending champions Bayern Munich in their next league fixture.
