Ballon d’Or: Gerrard explains why Kane should beat Yamal, Mbappe

Gerrard said Kane’s consistency and goalscoring achievements make him a worthy winner of football’s most prestigious individual award.

Speaking to TNT Sports, the former England midfielder praised the striker’s performances, saying, “Harry has met every expectation. He is incredibly consistent and a prolific goalscorer.

“I don’t see any reason why he shouldn’t win the Ballon d’Or. I wish him the best at Monday’s ceremony because I believe this could be his only opportunity.”

Kane scored more than 70 goals for club and country last season, helping Bayern Munich secure the Bundesliga title and earning the European Golden Boot.
