The Benue State governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), Pastor Matthew Dabu, has described the attack on the Otukpo residence of the leader of Benue South All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Usman Abubakar, popularly known as young Alahj, as “barbaric, inhuman and unwarranted.”

Recall that hoodlums suspected to be agents sponsored by political opponents of the APC chieftain had in the early hours of Wednesday set his Otukpo residence ablaze.

The incident was said to have taken place a few days after Young Alhaji had visited Governor Samuel Ortom.

There had been tension in APC over the running mate of the governorship candidate, which had resulted in serious disagreement between Young Alhaji and other stakeholders of the APC.

Reacting to the incident in a statement issued Friday, the AA governorship candidate who is the general oversee of Anointed Truth and Life Christian Ministry said it was wrong to destroy another man’s investment, “be it a house, business premises or other properties.”

“Setting ablaze the house of another man for whatever reason is forbidden. People must outgrow this uncivilised behaviour. Peace is all that is needed in all parts of the world at the moment,” he said.
