Catholic missionary priest Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, currently serving in Gambia, has called for skepticism regarding miracle testimonies shared in churches and ministries.

His remarks come in response to viral videos of extraordinary claims made by church members, which have sparked widespread skepticism on social media.

In one video, an elderly woman described a dream where she overpowered four armed robbers and facilitated their arrest.

Another testimony featured a man who claimed to have survived a kidnapping, machete attacks, and gunshot wounds without injury, raising doubts about the miracles’ authenticity.

Fr. Ugwu emphasized the need for independent verification, advising the public to treat such testimonies as potentially fake or misleading until proven otherwise.

“Don’t be carried away by miracle testimonies; treat them as fake and lies unless they are independently verified,” he stated on his Facebook page.
