The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, has reassigned judges following the one-year suspension of Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo of the Abuja division by the National Judicial Council (NJC).

Justice M. G. Umar has been transferred from Enugu to take over Justice Ekwo’s court in Abuja.

Other redeployments include:

Tijjani Garba Ringim: Gombe → Yola

M. T. Segun-Bello: Abakaliki → Enugu

Bala Khalifa-Mohammed Usman: Yola → Awka

Amina Aliyu Mohammed: Awka → Gombe

All redeployments are effective immediately. Judges must deliver pending judgments promptly. Judges in Abakaliki and Katsina divisions will handle all pending and new cases until further notice.

Cases in Court No. 5, Abuja division, will now be handled by the newly assigned judge. Litigants and counsel do not need to seek case re-assignment from the Chief Judge’s office.
