Cubana Chief Priest declares interest in Reps seat under APC
Socialite and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has revealed plans to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The entertainer disclosed his political ambition in a video circulating online following a visit to the APC secretariat in Imo State.
Speaking during the visit, Cubana Chief Priest informed party members of his intention to represent the Orsu, Orlu and Oru East Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.
In a message attached to the video, he stated that he had officially communicated his aspiration to party leaders, who reportedly pledged their backing.
“I came to congratulate and encourage our party leaders and also to share my humble desire to represent my people at the House of Representatives,” he said. “God is in control; let His will be done.”
One of the APC leaders present at the meeting commended the nightlife entrepreneur for his versatility and influence.
“I don’t know if you’re a motivational speaker, businessman, or politician; you fit into all,” the official said, while assuring him of the party’s support.
In recent months, Cubana Chief Priest has openly expressed support for the APC-led government and President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
He was previously named the Imo State Director of the City Boy Movement, a political support group mobilising youths for Tinubu’s second-term campaign.
