Defamation: Nedu Wazobia slams VeryDarkMan with N500m suit

Media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, better known as Nedu Wazobia, has served a pre-action notice to social media commentator VeryDarkMan over alleged defamatory statements made on his platform.
VeryDarkMan revealed the development in an Instagram post.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that legal representatives for Nedu and Tokindrumz Picture and Media Ltd asserted that a 12-minute video uploaded by VeryDarkMan on February 19, 2025, across his YouTube and Instagram accounts contained multiple defamatory, false, and disparaging claims aimed at their clients.
The video, titled “How Nedu Diverted NGO Scholarship Meant for Nigerians,” was described as untrue.
The legal team also clarified that Nedu is associated with Tokindrumz as talent, not as its owner.
They have demanded that VeryDarkMan remove all videos featuring Nedu from his platforms within 24 hours, issue a public apology, and pay Nedu N500 million in damages for the harm to his reputation, warning that failure to comply would result in legal proceedings.
In response, VeryDarkMan acknowledged the notice on Instagram, advising his audience, “Nedu’s lawyers have served me o, so make una get ready for court case.”
