Drug Abuse: Oche “G12” urges Iwili, Ai-Eya, Okpaflo residents to always seek Doctors advise before taking medications (Photos)

Hon. Oche Joseph Godwin, the founder of G12 Foundation has Friday January advised residents of Iwili Entekpa, Ai-Eya and Okpaflo in Adoka, a suburb of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State to always adhere to doctors prescription before taking any form of medication in other to avoid drug abuse.

Hon. Oche who made gave the counsel during the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) organized programme said that “It is good to bring to your door steps programmes like so that you can understand the dangers of abusing drugs.

“Drug Abuse is spreading more like a wild fire right now out there, but the record of it in our area here is still minimal so we thought it necessary to facilitate this programme through our Distinguished Senator, Comrade Patrick Abba Moro who cares and love you so much.

The philanthropist went further to say that “prevention is better than cure, so we at G12 Foundation co-ordinated this event to make sure the drug menace ravaging places like Kano and other places and destroying their youths who are the future our great country doesn’t happen here. We are begging our children who are schooling in both far and near places to please be mindful of their associations because taking of hard drugs are the primary links of insanity, cultism and armed robbery, so we want our children to stay clear off these ill behaviours.

Representatives and resource persons of the NDLEA from the FCT, Abuja also spelt out the stand and legal implications of the government and law of Nigeria against drug abuse which is a minimum of 15 years imprisonment among other capital punishments.
