EPL: Guardiola reacts to Chelsea sacking of Rosenior with emotional message
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed sympathy following the dismissal of Liam Rosenior as Chelsea head coach.
Rosenior was relieved of his duties on Wednesday after the Blues’ 3:0 Premier League defeat to Brighton last weekend.
Speaking after Manchester City’s 1:0 victory over Burnley on Wednesday night, Guardiola said he was saddened by the decision, describing Rosenior as a top level manager.
“I’m so sorry,” Guardiola said in his post match press conference, as quoted by Beanyman Sports.
“I’m pretty sure he is a manager for that level.
“Whenever this happens, I reflect on how lucky I am to be at the club where I am.”
